  • On Wednesday night, June 8 2011, the Goddard Geophysical and Astronomical Observatory (GGAO) hosted a tour of its facilities for some of our NASA HQ colleagues along with their invited guests from the Precision Navigation and Timing (PNT) Advisory Board. The tour was organized by John LaBrecque and Jim Miller at NASA HQ. There were approximately 50 visitors to GGAO that night participating in tours of the VLBI2010, MOBLAS-7 and NGSLR. The tour ended with both MOBLAS-7 and NGSLR firing their lasers at the GLONASS-109 (Russian Global Navigational) satellite. A handout was presented to all attendees.
  • Goddard participated in International Observe the Moon Night on September 18, 2010 by opening GGAO to the public who were treated to tours of NGSLR and MOBLAS-7 as well as seeing the two systems ranging simultaneously to the Moon. The event was featured in an article in
